1. Mission Statement
What is our office’s
objective? What should we do as
representatives? How should we manage our
office? How can we develop our clients’
businesses through IP services? How can we
make our colleagues happy and prosperous?
Our office’s mission
is “To endeavor to develop clients’ businesses and to
contribute to society through IP services.” IP
is a tool for the development of business of enterprises. IP
offices’ work should accordingly be done for clients’
business development. We endeavor to promote
IP matters and to solve IP problems together with clients
and with their overseas IP attorneys.
2. High-Quality IP
Services
To carry out our
mission, we provide high-quality IP services which fulfill
the following five elements: (i) elaborate analysis (ii)
strategic suggestion (iii) speed (iv) reasonable price and
(v) outstanding management. One more important
element is “heart", which is the drive to work with clients
to enhance business development. We will make
every effort to carry out our mission with "heart".
3. Our Office’s
Scale and Continuity
Instead of a “one
man office,” we have established a “team office” consisting
of capable people working together to establish a continuous
business scale. We have the following seven
(7) people: (i) Kozo Takeuchi, a Japanese patent attorney
with 33 years of experience and is the APAA Secretary
General, (ii) a trainee named Hirokazu Matsumoto with 22
years of trademark and design experience and is an examinee
for a Japanese patent attorney, (iii) a paralegal with 21
years of trademark experience, (iv) a secretary with 13
years of trademark experience, (v) a secretary with 3 years
of trademark experience,(vi) a secretary with 1 year of
trademark experience, (vii) an American Secretariat named
Ms. Mari Jan Motsenbocker who is also the APAA Secretariat.
